DLE Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)

Q. What does it cost to become a member of DLE?
A. Currently, the annual Membership fee is $365 ($1 per day).  To qualify for this rate you must initially deposit at least fifty (50) dead leads.  If you do not have dead leads you can join for $599.  Your Membership is good for 12 months and then will renew at the then annual Membership rate.
Q. What is the maximum dead leads I can deposit to pick leads for FREE?
A. You have no limit on the leads you can deposit for credits so long as your quality score is “1 Star or higher”. Credits are exchanged for leads on an “as available” basis from other Member leads deposited. DLE does not buy leads for the system.
Q. How do I know I won't get just my dead leads back?
A. Our system tracks all the leads you deposited and does not make your leads available to be picked by you. It also tracks leads that you have withdrawn and they cannot be deposited back for credits either.
Q. If I have no leads to deposit, can I purchase leads from DLE?
A. Yes, you can purchase leads in 2 blocks.  100 leads for $500, or $250 leads for $1000.  We would prefer you deposit and exchange leads for FREE.
Q. Do my credits expire?
A. As long as your Membership remains active you can use your credits.  We will send you a 30 day renewal notice.  You should either renew or use all your credits before your Membership expires.  Should your Membership expire you would lose your remaining credits. You may download your leads (in an Excel Spreadsheet) before your membership expires or at any time you like.
Q. How does my quality score drop and what does this mean?
A. New Members are given a score of “5 Stars”.  If Members report your leads as bad quality, meaning 1) that both the email and telephone number provided are both bad or 2) that the lead has requested to Opt-out, then we will charge back one lead from your credits list and remove this lead from the database.  You quality score will drop 1 Star for each 10% of your leads which are reported bad.  For example, you deposit 100 leads and 10 are found to be bad, your score on all your leads would drop to 4 Stars and you would be charged back 10 credits.  If your lead quality drops below 50% (hence 0 Stars), then you will lose your ability to deposit leads for credits.  You can improve your rating by depositing more leads before your rating drops.  This rule is subject to change if the community wishes to impose a stronger quality score on all Members.  You of course will not lose your credits which have been earned and not charged back to you for bad quality.  Bottom line, don’t put bad leads in DLE.
Q. What is the difference between a Dead Lead and a Bad Lead?
A. A Dead Lead is a lead you developed or purchased from a third-party provider that did not purchase your offer, but remains a prospect for the industry.  A Bad Lead is a lead which is either 1) both the phone number and email address do not allow contact with the prospect, 2) the prospect has previously requested you to Opt-Out their name or who requests a Member or DLE to Opt Out their name, and 3) is a prospect that never requested information about your business (don’t just deposit names to get credits, you will get caught and may lose your Membership privileges).
Q. Why was Dead Lead Exchange (DLE) created?
A. Like you, we have all have purchased leads at a costs easily ranging from $0 to $100 each, maybe more.  What matters is the conversion cost!  We found that many of the prospects were in fact real prospects, just not for our offer.  We felt if we could exchange leads for FREE with others we would lower our conversion cost and multiply our marketing budgets without new dollars.  We developed the DLE community to do just that.  We have a flat Membership fee to cover the annual cost of administration, but you can exchange an unlimited number of leads subject to availability of Member lead deposits.  Bottom line, it just makes sense and saves us all money.  It will not make the lead development companies happy, but we still need them to develop new prospects and sell us leads, the community will manage the existing prospects for FREE!  What we want to stop is the overselling of the same lead to all of us, that’s just fair wouldn’t you agree! What we must all do is protect the quality of the leads we exchange so this community will thrive and we all save money.  Tell others in your industry about this great community so we all can benefit!
